The Department of Education today announced the applications are open for $10 million in Promise Neighborhood planning grants. This is a red-letter day for communities eager to learn from the model of the Harlem Children’s Zone and surround their children in a pipeline of cradle-to-career supports.

But that’s not all!

Today, we are very proud to announce the launch of the Promise Neighborhoods Institute at PolicyLink, an independent, nonprofit resource offering tools, information, and strategies to assist any community interested in participating in the Promise Neighborhoods program.

The Institute will provide technical support for planning, identifying quality approaches, building partnerships, assessing needs, and many more essentials for successfully responding to the federal Promise Neighborhoods application.
